Chomerics Americas Product Environmental Quality (PEQ) Compliance Summary Description and Instructions for use.
Chomerics Americas products must comply with many US, European Union (EU), and other Environmental, Health, and Safety Regulations. Many of Chomerics Americas products must also comply with Chomerics Material Substance Requirements and Industry Specifications that are more stringent than the Regulations. Chomerics Americas collectively calls these Regulations, Requirements, and Industry Specifications Product Environmental Quality (PEQ) Requirements.
Chomerics Americas products comply with PEQ Requirements by using raw materials suppliers that comply with PEQ Requirements, and by conducting limited testing on our products. The purpose of this Summary is to inform Customers of the PEQ Compliance status of Chomerics Americas Products. Chomerics does not make blanket compliance statements about our products.
Thank You - Chomerics Americas EHS Department
The PEQ Summary certifies PEQ compliance status for Chomerics Americas Products
for the following Regulations and Industry Specifications:
Chomerics Products Column - Chomerics Americas Products categorized according to Major Product Line, Part Family, and Part Number Sequence. See Chomerics Technical Bulletins posted on www.chomerics.com for details on part number Part Family and Part Number Sequence information .
*Other requested data is not readily available, and will only be provided by Chomerics when requested by the appropriate Chomerics Sales contact for the part or product.

EU ROHS Column – EU Directive 2002/95 (Restrictions on Hazardous Substances) bans selling new electrical and electronic equipment in the EU that contains specific Substances above limits (limits and Substances listed below):
No More Than 1,000 parts per million - Lead, Mercury, Hexavalent Chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.
No More Than 100 parts per million - Cadmium.

The above limits apply to "homogeneous materials", which are materials that cannot be mechanically separated. Mechanical separation methods include but are not limited to grinding, peeling, tearing, and cutting.
EU PFOS Column – Product complies with EU limits on PerFluoroOctaneSulfonates.
EU Directive 2006/122/EC became effective in Summer 2008 and prohibits using perfluorooctane sulfonates (PFOS). PFOS may not be in preparations at a concentration equal to or higher than 0.005% of mass. PFOS may not be in semi-finished goods at concentrations greater than 0.1% of mass. PFOS must be less than 1 ug/m2 on textiles/coated materials.

Photo resists or anti-reflective coatings for photolithography processes, photographic coatings applied to films, papers, or printing plates and mist suppressants for non-decorative hard chromium (VI) plating and wetting agents for use in controlled electroplating systems (where the amount of PFOS released into the environment is minimized) may contain PFOS in larger quantities. The exception granted for chromium plating processes does not apply to decorative chromium plating.
EU REACH Column – Registration, Evaluation, and Authorisation of Chemicals
Candidate List SVHCs as of 6/18/2010

Articles - Products with a specific shape, surface or design which determines their function more than their chemical composition. REACH requires Chomerics to inform requestors of ECHA Candidate List Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) > 0.1% by total weight in Articles.
Article Statement - Substances are encapsulated within the matrix, therefore, no exposure to these materials is expected during proper use/handling of this product.
Preparations - Uncured mixtures of Substances, or mixtures of Substances not in final shape or form. Caleb Management Services Ltd (Caleb) is Chomerics Americas Only Representative (OR) for Parker’s obligations under Title II of the EU REACH Regulation [ref 1] and Article 8 paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of REACH for Substances contained in Chomerics Preparations that are manufactured outside, then imported into the EU. According to Article 8, Paragraph 3, Importers into the EU of Chomerics Preparations are Downstream Users (DUs). In cases where Chomerics is the DU of Substances in Chomerics Preparations, Pre-registration and Registration cover is provided by the applicable upstream supplier’s OR as allowed by REACH.

Compliance Representation
As a representative of Chomerics Division of Parker Hannifin, I state to the best of my knowledge the product(s) indicated in the Part Number Summary comply with the maximum allowable ROHS concentrations referenced in the Instructions Tab.
Compliance with Regulatory Requirements/Customer Requirements/Industry Standards other than EU ROHS referenced in this table
Chomerics representation is based on Material Safety Data Sheets (“MSDS”) provided by Chomerics Suppliers pursuant to requirements established by the United States Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (“OSHA”), and additional information provided by Chomerics Suppliers. Chomerics does not test for Substances. Chomerics does not certify to concentrations lower than <0.1% by total weight in Articles. However, to the best of our knowledge, Chomerics’ Suppliers do not use Candidate List SVHCs referenced in the Instructions Tab in materials they supply to Chomerics.
Chomerics’ Representation does not include disclosure of “impurities” (chemical substances that are unintentionally present, and are not present for the purpose of imparting or changing the characteristics of a material or product). Chomerics does not analyze our raw materials for Candidate List SVHC as declared by ECHA, nor do we require our Suppliers to do so. Since conditions of use are outside of Chomerics control, Chomerics makes no warranties, express or implied, and assumes no liability related to any use of this information.
